Rabbi Gavriel Jacknin

Rabbi Jacknin, more affectionately known as Rabbi J was born on Long Island, New York (Originally a Mets fan) and lived in Queens for most of his youth.    A graduate of SUNY Binghamton, Rabbi J has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Management.   During his college years, Rabbi Jacknin developed a passion and love for Judaism which led him to study for many years in various Yeshivas including Aish, Shar Yashuv, and the Mirrer.  Eventually, this love for Judaism led Rabbi J to his Rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg of Jerusalem to fulfill his mission of spreading the 'Joy of Judaism.'

In October 2010, Rabbi J & his wife Michal founded the Bellaire Jewish Center.  A Jewish center to spread the joy of Judaism through outstanding programming, inspiring & informative classes, meaningful services & AWESOME parties.   Besides learning and teaching Torah, Rabbi Jacknin enjoys tennis, softball,  jogging (Ran NYC marathon at age 20), all people, and a good cup of iced coffee.  Call or email Rabbi J anytime to set up an appointment to meet, study or shmooze about anything.
His contact information is 832-971-3781/rabbi@bjchouston.org.
